Is 4000 watts big enough for our R.V.? Yes over 90 percent of our sales are 4000 watts 30 amps. Because most R.V.s have a 30 amp cord and 30 amp main panel this is the ideal size for most all R.V.s today.
What will a 4000 watt 30 amp Gen-Box run? This model is designed to run a 13,500 or 15,000 BTU air-conditioner plus the microwave, plus the T.V. / VCR and some lighting. When your not running the Microwave you can substitute other appliances such as: (coffee pot or curling Iron)
What if our R.V. is 50 amp? No problem as long as you are only running one air-conditioner at a time you still only need the 4000 watt 30 amp. Simply plug in a 50 to 30 amp adapter and plug it in.
Isn't bigger better in the case of Generators? Actually for most R.V. ers bigger is not better. 5.5-7.5 larger units consume so much fuel that you cant even run the air-conditioner over night without refueling on 12 gallons.
How long will the 4000 watt Gen-Box run? With the standard 12 gallon tank you will enjoy 35-50 hour runtime depending on the load.
Can we put the Gen-Box on the back of our R.V.? Yes infact we offer a platform that bolts to the bottom of the Gen-Box and slides into a standard 2 inch receiver hitch. Simply have a hitch that will support at least 500 pounds installed on the rear of your R.V.
